Position Summary
The Epic Gallery IT/HIM Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert for Epic Gallery implementation and configuration during a defined six-month engagement. This individual will work alongside a small internal HIM team and an OnBase administrator transitioning into Gallery responsibilities, providing both hands-on build support and structured knowledge transfer. The ideal candidate holds active Epic Gallery accreditation or certification, brings Hyland OnBase experience, and understands how enterprise content management workflows translate from OnBase into the Epic Gallery environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the full implementation of Epic Gallery including build, configuration, and workflow design.
  • Serve as the primary Gallery subject matter expert.
  • Train and mentor an internal OnBase administrator transitioning into Epic Gallery build and maintenance responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with the internal HIM team to ensure Gallery workflows align with existing operational HIM processes.
  • Support the migration of document management workflows from Hyland OnBase into Epic Gallery.
  • Validate Gallery configuration against accreditation and operational standards.

  • Provide ongoing guidance on Gallery best practices, maintenance, and optimization throughout the engagement.

Qualifications

  • Active Epic Gallery Accreditation or Certification required.
  • Strong understanding of Epic Gallery build, configuration, and document management workflows.
  • Experience supporting Epic Gallery implementations or comparable ECM-to-Epic transitions.
  • Ability to effectively train and mentor internal staff transitioning into new technical roles.
  • Familiarity with HIM workflows, document management, and content services environments.
  • Ability to work independently in a part-time, primarily remote capacity.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hyland OnBase experience strongly preferred — familiarity with OnBase administration, configuration, or workflow design.
  • Experience supporting transitions from Hyland OnBase or comparable ECM platforms to Epic Gallery.
  • Background working with HIM teams in a hospital or health system environment.
  • Strong training and knowledge transfer skills with internal technical staff.
  • Experience supporting part-time or advisory consulting engagements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Epic Gallery certified expert who can hit the ground running and provide immediate value to a small, lean internal team.
  • Patient and effective trainer who can bridge the gap between OnBase and Gallery for an administrator making the transition.
  • Collaborative partner who works well alongside HIM staff without disrupting existing operational workflows.
  • Self-directed and organized, comfortable managing a part-time engagement remotely with minimal oversight.
  • Brings practical implementation depth and a knowledge-transfer mindset to every engagement.
