- Responsible for the Environmental compliance across the enterprise.
- Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures and best practices aligned with corporate and regulatory standards.
- Develop, implement and audit the necessary programs to comply with the Local, State and Federal Environmental Protection regulations.
- Conduct environmental audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance with EPA and other regulatory bodies.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies for permitting, inspections, and reporting.
- Lead initiative in waste reduction, water conservation, energy efficiency, and other sustainability efforts.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics and drive corrective actions as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to site personnel on environmental compliance and new projects.
- Support integration of environmental requirements into site operations and new projects.
- Stay abreast of environmental laws and regulations and advise leadership on potential impacts.
- Track, analyze, and report key environmental metrics.
- Partner with plant management to integrate environmental requirements into day-to-day production activities.
- Lead environmental stewardship efforts in alignment with corporate goals and customer expectations.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 7-10 years experience related to environmental compliance with at least 3 years being in a multisite capacity.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven track record in written communication and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
- Strong knowledge of corporate responsibility & environmental compliance. In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., RCRA, CAA, CWA, EPCRA, CERCLA).
- Strong project management and organization skills.
- Leadership, networking and influencing skills – with track record of working internally across different business functions and with subject matter experts and subject matter leaders
- Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel to support sites as needed (50-75% travel).
- Professional certifications a plus.
- Experience with regulatory reporting and permit applications (renewals).
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with sustainability.
