Your future team:
The Environmental Manager will report directly into the SHE Manager, and will be responsible for managing the Environmental department, with the aim of maintaining compliance with permits, legislation and ROCKWOOL Group documents.

What you bring:
- Qualified in a Science or Environmental related degree
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry
- Experience in managing ISO 14001 and ISO 50001
- NEBOSH in Environmental Management
- Previous people management experience
- Capability of driving and implementing new initiatives
- Good IT skills especially with Microsoft packages
- The ability to influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders
What you will be doing:
- Ensuring full compliance with the EPR (Environmental Permitting Regulations) Permit
- Authorising and submitting of routine reports to Natural Resources Wales as specified in EPR Permit
- Acting as an authorised representative on the company’s UKETS trading account
- Ensuring full conformance with ROCKWOOL Group Environmental MMRs (Mandatory Minimum Requirements)
- Ensuring full compliance with other relevant legislation and guidance using control plans for site emissions and environmental impact assessments for noise, flora, odour and any other measurement of environmental impact
- Maintaining certification to ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and PAS 402
- Planning and carrying out internal audits against the requirements of ISO 14001 and ISO 50001
- Preparing a report for Management Review with proposed targets, objectives and plan
- Ensuring reports are provided for daily, weekly, monthly and annual environmental, energy and other routine reports as required
- Preparing SKF (Sustainability Key Figures) and EKF (Environmental Key Figures) reports on a quarterly basis to ROCKWOOL Group
- Liaising with ROCKWOOL Group and other OPCO’s when necessary
- Providing a primary point of contact for environmental issues to Natural Resources Wales, external certification bodies, local residents, suppliers, customers and Bridgend County Borough Council
