Our Environmental Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of required safety, health, environmental, sustainability and related management system programs and processes.
The successful candidate will plan and oversee Regulatory and Environmental related compliance programs and/or projects, may serve as an official representative of the organization for contacting governmental officials. Leads/supervises a team of six professionals and work with local management team to integrate Wastewater and Environmental activities into The Coca-Cola Integrated Management System.
Job Related Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the Company's wastewater quality strategy including compliance tracking and review/approval of designs. Develop implementation strategies, implement, evaluate and/or certify effective implementation of corporate EMS Systems. Conduct risk assessment by identifying and assessing potential magnitude of risk (e.g., environmental, safety, regulatory, production feasibility and quality) and creating contingency plans.
- Manage the water and wastewater treatment systems and their operator teams.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local wastewater and storm water regulations.
- Ensure compliance with EPA and DTSC’s hazardous waste regulations, i.e. California Code of Regulations (CCR) at Title 22 Social Security, Division 4.5, Environmental Health Standards for the Management of Hazardous Waste.
- Champion sustainability efforts within the facility.
- Develop implementation strategies, implement, evaluate and/or certify effective implementation of ISO 14001.
- Routinely review sustainability results with plant personnel to maximize facility performance.
- Foster an environment that supports an engaged safety and sustainability culture.
- Participate in industry organizations to stay current on technologies, process and regulations.
- Seek, share and adopt ideas and best practices in and outside the Company and embrace change introduced by others.
- Ensure facility compliance of all environmental programs including the Source Vulnerability Assessment, SPCC, SWP3, SWPP, AST, RMP, ERP, etc.
- Ensure facility compliance with good environmental practices and applicable regulations.
- Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with state and local regulatory agencies. Represent company on regulatory issues with impact outside local plant.
Education and Additional Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Related Discipline or equivalent experience
- Degree in Environment Sciences/Management Preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience in environmental processes and procedures
- Registered Environmental Manager (REM) or equivalent environmental certification preferred.
- Prefer experience in California regulatory requirements
- Ability to interact with government officials

Pay Range:
$105,000 - $129,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
