We are seeking an Environmental and Energy Manager to oversee the unit’s environmental and energy performance, ensuring compliance with regulations and reducing our environmental impact. In this role you will be part of the mill management team, leading ISO14001 environmental and ISO50001 energy management systems on unit level and developing organizational competence in the area. You will also coordinate the unit's Integrated Management System including Chain of Custody/due diligence system, which ensures our wood comes from sustainable sources.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing environmental permits, evaluation of compliance with environmental and energy legislation and ensuring compliance through annual action plan.

Reporting to authorities and other external and internal stakeholders.

Improvement of unit energy efficiency and driving continuous improvement through energy reviews, energy data, objectives, KPIs, and action plans.

Training and competence development of the mill organization.

Participating and coordinating internal and external audits.
You will be joining an international expert team in Wood Products division and located in Alytus sawmill. The position reports to Director Operational Sustainability.
In order to be successful in this role, we expect you to have the following skills and experiences:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Higher level degree in engineering, preferably energy and/or environment.

Understanding of management systems.
-
Good written and verbal Lithuanian language.

Full working proficiency in English.

People and safety leadership.

Good communication.

Ability to motivate people and work in matrix organization.

Team and result oriented planning of work.

Problem solving.

Gross salary range in this position 3200 – 4300 EUR. Additional health insurance after 6 months length of employment, fuel (depends on living location) and mobile phone expenses compensation, other benefits.
