You will perform engineering record searches, analyse the operating history and configuration of steam turbine units in service, and prepare engineering memos and documentation. You will support the design of steampath components for steam turbines with impulse blading technology and provide technical support for mechanical design and assessments applied globally across GE Vernova Steam Power Services. Your work will include the preparation and development of technical designs and documentation for replacement-in-kind parts, service projects, and upgrade/retrofit solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities
Perform engineering record searches in internal databases to understand the operating history and configuration of steam turbine units in service.
Prepare engineering memos and technical documentation to support the manufacturing of replacement-in-kind steampath components.
Apply solid engineering principles and existing standards under guidance to support the design and analysis of steampath components, covering applications from small industrial units to large nuclear steam turbines.
Assist in adapting legacy designs to take advantage of modern materials and manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with technical leads, subject matter experts, and controlled title holders to develop and refine best practices.
Communicate effectively within the engineering community and with project management and suppliers to support project and business objectives.
Undertake occasional international travel to other engineering sites and suppliers as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Academic focus or strong interest in steam turbine technology, turbomachinery, or thermal power.
Desired Characteristics
Master’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering focused on steam turbine technology.
Systematic and structured work approach, with strong attention to detail and documentation quality.
Initial exposure to turbomachinery or steam turbine technology (e.g., internships, academic projects, theses) or a strong motivation to develop expertise in this field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools (CATIA V5 preferred) and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other engineering software is an advantage.

Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects in parallel and reprioritize effectively when urgent needs arise.
