Job Summary:
As an Entry-level Engineer, you will have the exciting opportunity to kick-start your engineering career by contributing to real-world projects, gaining hands-on experience, and collaborating with a team of skilled professionals. Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
- Assist in the design and development of electrical circuits, systems, and products using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer).
- Support the development of schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical design requirements are met.
Testing and Analysis:
- Perform basic electrical calculations and analysis to ensure design integrity and compliance with specifications.
- Assist in the testing and validation of prototypes and final products.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during the design and testing phases.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
- Assist in the creation of technical presentations and project status updates.
Project Support:
- Work with senior engineers and project managers to meet project deadlines and milestones.
- Participate in the selection and evaluation of electrical components and systems.
- Provide support during the manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure product quality and performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer).
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit design, signal processing, and power distribution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience:
- Internship or co-op experience in an electrical engineering role is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., IEEE, NEC).
- Basic knowledge of embedded systems or control systems.
Location: San Jose, CA
Travel: Limited Travel up to 10%
The expected base salary range for this role is $75,000 – $85,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
