Position Summary:

This position is responsible for performing the load in, set-up, operation, load out and maintenance of all types of video, audio visual, projection and other related equipment to be used for entertainment events.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:

  • Responsible for performing the load in, set-up, operation, load out and maintenance of all types of video, audio visual, projection and other related equipment to be used for entertainment events
  • Operates image magnification system for concerts and other events
  • Operates video equipment including, but not limited to, cameras, switchers, tape machines, editors, routers, replay systems and graphics systems
  • Acts as control room technician during television broadcast
  • Edits video for in-house use

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sets-up and operates projectors and audio visual equipment
  • Maintains and repairs all in-house video equipment
  • Operates fork trucks and lift equipment
  • Assists with any and all entertainment production tasks, as needed

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of experience working with video, audiovisual and broadcast equipment, including digital and computer based systems
  • Previous experience working as a camera operator, technical director, video editor, replay system technician, chryon operator or other live broadcast technician

CompetenciesIncumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

  • Good communication skills
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking skills

Training Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable in the operation of professional video, audiovisual and broadcast equipment
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of the in-house editing system
  • Must be certified in the operation of fork trucks, motorized pallet jacks, scissor lifts and boom lifts

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend and climb for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and move all necessary equipment up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit in front of a computer and video screen for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
