Job Description
As an Enterprise Software Sales Executive (ESSE) you will grow direct sales to achieve revenue targets for Rockwell Automation's PLEX MES, supporting our vision of a connected enterprise. You will sell the Plex SaaS MES across multiple industries, including CPG, FMCG, automotive suppliers, and discrete manufacturing. You will report to the regional PLEX Sales Director.
A typical day for an enterprise software sales executive in Rockwell Automation starts by reviewing emails, priorities, and the pipeline, then preparing for important customer conversations. Customer and partner meetings largely occupy the day, focusing on understanding challenges, aligning team members, and advancing complex deals. You also spend time coordinating internally with pre‑sales, product, legal, and management, while working on proposals, forecasts, and next steps. The day usually ends with follow‑ups and CRM updates to keep deals moving and maintain accuracy.
Your Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for meeting PLEX quota by negotiating and bringing opportunities to closure while working with the broader matrixed Rockwell Automation sales teams.
- Design and implement sales strategies to meet PLEX revenue goals by growing our accounts.
- Prospect new opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other lead generation techniques.
- Manage the sales cycle, performing lead qualification, arranging and providing demonstrations, quoting, and closing deals.
- Manage an accurate sales forecast and pipeline of Information Software and other related solutions.
- Be a primary liaison between customers, regional sales team members, and Rockwell Automation Information Software to ensure efficient communications and information flow from sales and pipeline development activities.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, computer science, manufacturing information technology, or related discipline equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of pre-sales, direct sales, or consulting experience in software industry.
- Familiarity with supply chain concepts, logistics, manufacturing flow, and interaction with IT and Manufacturing systems.
- Software Experience: IOT / MES / ERP / SaaS / Industrial Software / Annual Recurring Revenue / subscription model type of experience.
- Industry knowledge: Auto, Food & Beverage, discrete, Auto Tier suppliers
- Dutch language is mandatory

- Sell at the senior management and executive levels, focusing on outcomes and demonstrating the tangible economic value that products, information software, and services help customers achieve.
- Experience with manufacturing and a sound understanding of manufacturing processes and responsibilities.
