Job Description
 

Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Services Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Exchange to join our team. If you are passionate about ensuring the smooth operation of enterprise-level email systems and have a deep understanding of Exchange, we encourage you to apply for this critical role. As an Enterprise Services Engineer specializing in Microsoft Exchange, you will be a key member of our technical team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Exchange environments. You will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in all matters related to Exchange, providing guidance, troubleshooting expertise, and driving best practices to ensure the reliability and security of our clients' email systems.

Duties
 

• Provides technical leadership guidance and expertise in implementing and managing enterprise information/data management practices, particularly within the Microsoft Exchange ecosystem. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Exchange Server, including on-premises and hybrid configurations, as well as related technologies like Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 services. 
• Possesses strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues within the Exchange environment. 
• Participates in the architecture, design, and implementation of Exchange architectures, including migrations, integrations, and new deployments. 
• Develops and executes PowerShell scripts for automating routine tasks and improving operational efficiency. 
• Collaboration and communication effectively with other IT staff, users, and vendors to ensure seamless operations and user satisfaction. 
• Creates and maintains documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles to support the Exchange environment. 
• Experience with data modeling, data dictionaries, metadata management, and data governance processes. 
• Knowledge of IT architecture principles, standards, and guidelines. 
• Experience in leading and participating in information/data management projects. 
• Identifies opportunities for improvement in the Exchange environment and implements solutions to enhance performance and reliability. 

Qualifications

Required education and experience:

• Working knowledge of SharePoint metadata, application data fields, Active Directory, Exchange, Databases, and other systems and services
• Understanding of both physical and virtual infrastructure hosting one or more Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, Solaris, UNIX, and/or AIX systems
• Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level III certification (i.e., CASP)
