Compensation for this position will be determined on the prevailing market rate in the employee's country and the applicable statutory laws, in addition to Ipas's own pay philosophy and other factors, such as the employee's experience level and expertise.
The Ipas Network Risk Service Node is responsible for supporting and providing resources in the areas of risk management, safety and security, internal audit, and ethics. The Enterprise Risk Management Analyst plays a critical role in strengthening organizational resilience and accountability for Ipas in these areas. This position provides technical and operational support to the Network Risk function, which oversees enterprise risk management (ERM), safety and security, insurance and risk pooling arrangements, internal audit coordination and ethics. The Enterprise Risk Management Analyst identifies and manages threats to an organization's strategic mission, staff safety, and programmatic impact, especially in areas where complex and/or evolving legal, political, and operational landscapes create higher risk for the organization.
In addition, the role supports implementation of the organization’s risk management framework to ensure Ipas can effectively identify, assess, and mitigate risks affecting program delivery, donor compliance, safeguarding commitments, and strategic objectives in diverse and often complex operating environments.

Risk Identification & Assessment 

  • Conduct risk assessments considering political, regulatory, financial, and reputational factors in global operations. Identify knowledge gaps among staff and partners on risk, reporting, and organizational accountability 

  • Develop tracking mechanisms to ensure compliance with policies across all offices. 

  • Provide analysis and recommendations to inform risk mitigation plans across country offices and global teams.  

  • Collaborate with the Network Risk Director in identifying digital and physical risk indicators, ensuring that these are managed under one unified strategy. 

  • Partner with the Network Risk Director and BAM/IT Director to ensure physical security protocols (e.g., office access) align with digital security standards (e.g., server room protection). 

Risk Monitoring, Data Analysis 

  • Maintain and update the enterprise risk register and dashboards, synthesizing operational, financial, and security data while incorporating technical risk summaries provided by the Network Risk Director. Use data visualization tools to communicate complex risk information effectively to non-technical audiences. 

  • Prepare risk reports for senior leadership, board committees, and donors, highlighting key exposures and mitigation progress. 

  • Ensure risk management practices align with donor requirements, international standards, and local regulations in countries of operation. 

  • Collaborate with internal audit and program compliance teams to address risk-based findings. 

Network and Staff Safety & Security 

  • Analyze risk trends across advocacy, funding, and operational areas to inform strategic planning. 

  • Create and facilitate a network Community of Practice to strengthen safety and security within Ipas implementing areas and across the Ipas Network. 

  • Support teams by collaborating with local HR and Risk contact to coordinate resources such as EAP crisis management when facing adverse safety and/or security concerns. 

Capacity Building & Awareness 

  • Deliver trainings during onboarding, refresher cycles, and targeted learning sessions tailored to diverse audiences and local context. 

  • Collaborate with HR, Procurement, IT, and Communications teams to integrate risk and accountability into organizational systems.

Minimum
  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, Finance, International Development, Public Health, or related field.

  • 5+ years’ experience in enterprise risk management, compliance, or internal audit, ideally within NGOs or donor-funded projects. 

  • Proven experience creating and leading training programs 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent verbal, auditory, and written communication and stakeholder engagement abilities across diverse cultural contexts and various levels of the organization. 

  • Ability to clearly and thoroughly present data through various collection sources (reports, risk registers, risk database) to key stakeholders, either through ad-hoc meetings or regularly scheduled trainings 

  • Anticipating needs of the organization and programmatic teams proactively through ongoing research and best practice knowledge 

  • Strong integrity and ability to coordinate sensitive matters with discretion, confidentiality, and neutrality. 

  • Proficiency in risk management tools and data visualization platforms, such as Power BI.   

Preferred Skills:  

  • Familiarity with reproductive health programs and global advocacy environments is highly desirable. 

  • Strong verbal, auditory, and written communication skills in any language that is frequently used by Ipas employees (French, Portuguese, Spanish, Hindi, etc.)

  • Certification in Risk Management
