THE POSITION

The Enterprise Network Senior Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of the enterprise network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, security protocols, and advanced troubleshooting across LAN, WAN, and cloud environments. The Senior Engineer will also play a critical role in leading projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the network's scalability, security, and efficiency.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Design, implement, and maintain complex LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructures
  • Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and upgrades to improve scalability, performance, and security
  • Design and configure network topologies that ensure redundancy, fault tolerance, and high availability
  • Perform advanced configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers
  • Oversee day-to-day network operations including performance tuning, capacity planning, and patch management
  • Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining security measures such as firewalls, encryption protocols, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and multi-factor authentication
  • Lead large-scale network implementation and migration projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define network requirements and solutions that align with business objectives
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior network engineers and support teams• Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations
  • Manage network firewalls and security appliances, implementing access control lists (ACLs) and monitoring for threats 
  • Participate in regular network security audits and assessments, ensuring the mitigation of vulnerabilities
  • Design and manage network connectivity between on-premise environments and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Configure and maintain hybrid cloud environments and ensure secure integration between data centers and cloud services
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and disaster recovery plans
  • Ensure all network configurations comply with industry best practices and company policies

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise-level networks
  • Proven experience with routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with various networking technologies (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper)
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SD-WAN technologies
  • Certifications (Preferred): Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking or Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs)
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nexus Dashboard)
  • Experience with video networks (multicast, media fabrics, streaming media) a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong project management and leadership abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proactive and able to work independently or within a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities• Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work for maintenance or emergencies
  • In office is required for overnight maintenance windows or project deployment
  • Expected hybrid in office schedule (3 days in LA office)

The applicable salary range for this position is $114,000 - $150,000 which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
