Job Description:
The Enterprise Email Systems Support Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day support
and maintenance of our Enterprise email systems, including Microsoft Exchange and Google
Workspace. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of email systems, networking
protocols, and security best practices.
Essential Job Functions:
● Provide prompt and efficient technical support to users experiencing email-related
issues.
● Diagnose and troubleshoot connectivity problems, mailbox inaccessibility, and email
delivery failures.
● Offer clear and step-by-step solutions to users, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted
email experience.
● Analyze and troubleshoot email system issues, such as server crashes, mailbox
corruption, and spam filtering problems.
● Work collaboratively with other IT professionals to identify the root cause of email
system issues and develop effective solutions.
● Implement troubleshooting techniques and apply patches to resolve problems efficiently.
● Continuously monitor email systems for performance and availability issues.
● Analyze system metrics, logs, and alerts to identify potential problems and performance
bottlenecks.
● Take proactive measures to address performance issues, ensuring optimal email system
uptime and responsiveness.
● Perform regular maintenance tasks to keep email systems running smoothly and
securely.
● Apply software updates, patches, and security fixes to address vulnerabilities and
enhance system stability.
● Work closely with other IT staff members, such as network engineers, security
specialists, and application developers, to resolve cross-functional issues related to
email systems.
● Foster a collaborative and communicative work environment to ensure a consistent and
positive user experience across all IT services.
Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
● 3+ years of experience in email systems support
● Experience with Microsoft Exchange and Google Workspace
● Strong understanding of networking protocols and security best practices
● Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications:
● Certifications in Microsoft Exchange and Google Workspace
● Experience with Active Directory
● Experience with PowerShell scripting
● Experience with virtualization technologies
● DMARC enforcement, monitoring and maintenance
● Experience with Proofpoint
