The Opportunity
As a Enterprise Data Service Engineer you will be responsible for planning the product releases of the relevant platforms, managing the platform infrastructure and support services, optimizing platform capacity and workload, providing architecture and engineering best practices, reviewing data security solutions for architecture/engineering standard compliance, enriching the service catalogs, and collecting the key performance metrics across the platforms. The Enterprise Data Services Engineer is an IT partner accountable for the enterprise data services components built on AWS technologies/infrastructure.
Responsibilities

  • The Enterprise Data Services Engineer focuses on driving improved business & patient outcomes through a global common platform approach to provide the robustness, resilience, scalability of the underlying infrastructure to enable self-service and data-driven organization
  • Accountable for the AWS Data Services and Infrastructures and integration with rest of the Data Platform capabilities
  • This role is responsible for executing the enterprise Northstar architecture vision and leading the platform support engineers to provide reliable, cost-efficient data integration operation in compliance with Takeda's engineering and quality standards
  • Optimizing the data security platform to constantly improve the performance, security, cost efficiency, and governance using the infrastructure, automation, monitoring, security, and performance management tools
  • This role will be taking a leading role in discussions and ceremonies to help shape implementable user stories, provide the solution review to ensure consistency and quality of data integration solutions built by inhouse and external vendor teams.
  • As needed, this role should propose several solution implementations options with their pros, cons & impacts against the overall design principles of the platform during the iterative refinement of the platform and adoption of new features and capabilities
  • This role must align and integrate well with solution architects, and other enterprise stakeholders, the role also much support non-technical team members in understanding the technical implications of design decisions.
  • Be able to adapt and work under an enterprise governance and operational model to deliver consistent solutions using our defined patterns, guidelines and framework. Be pro-active and diligent in identifying and communicating design and development issues.
  • This role should demonstrate strong problem solving and troubleshooting, and be able to collaborate efficiently with the product Agile/Scrum team members by defining and articulating the backend-complexity & effort for user-stories, socialize product and delivery risks.
  • Decide whether to pilot new technology solutions in the unit and make proposals to roll out successful solutions (coordinating with architects outside the unit)
  • Manage AWS services and implement AWS services for solutions


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a Computer Science/Information technology; or relevant work experience.


  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in developing the enterprise data services components built on AWS technologies/infrastructure. With expansive knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, clusters, data extraction, data transformation and data consumption patterns


  • Understanding development principles of middleware and integration technology, Agile, architecture patterns


  • Understanding of working in a multi-regional cloud platform architecture and its supporting infrastructure.


  • Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean Startup, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts)


  • Experience working in a self-sufficient delivery team with autonomy and accountability.


  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions

Salary
As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is € 2800 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
