Data Manager

Location: Richmond, VA - Must live within 50 miles
Position Type: Hybrid, 3 days onsite
Contract Length: 2 months + extension
Candidate must have previous DOT experience
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for coordinating and managing enterprise data initiatives, ensuring timely implementation and ongoing oversight of program activities. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, along with experience in program or project management to support collaboration and maintain key timelines and deliverables.

• 5 years of excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• 5 years of advanced presentation skills.

• 5 years of demonstrated organizational and time management skills.

• 5 years of experience navigating and functioning within a matrixed organization.

Duties:

• Assist in planning, executing, and managing the enterprise data program.

• Develop and maintain detailed program schedules, including tasks, milestones, and deadlines.

• Monitor program progress to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet program requirements.

• Collaborate with master data analysts and enterprise data stewards to implement data management strategies.

• Manage and coordinate the activities of master data analysts.

• Oversee maintenance and enhancement of data infrastructure and tools.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for program stakeholders.

• Prepare and distribute regular program status reports to senior management and stakeholders.

• Facilitate program meetings, including agenda creation, note-taking, and follow-up on action items.

• Ensure program documentation is accurate, up to date, and properly stored.

• Monitor processes to confirm that deliverables meet established standards.

• Conduct program reviews and identify opportunities for improvement.
