Summary:
In this role, you will serve as a strategic technical leader supporting enterprise architecture initiatives across business and technology domains. You will partner with business, product, engineering, CorpIT, data, and shared services teams to develop scalable, secure, and sustainable architecture solutions that align with organizational objectives. You will guide modernization efforts, establish architectural standards and reference patterns, evaluate enterprise tradeoffs, and support governance activities that promote consistency, efficiency, and long-term technology strategy alignment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-domain architecture initiatives for complex enterprise programs and solutions.
- Partner with business units, product teams, engineering, CorpIT, and shared services to align architecture strategies with business goals.
- Develop and maintain reference architectures, reusable patterns, and enterprise standards.
- Guide solution design activities by identifying dependencies, integration considerations, technical risks, and reuse opportunities.
- Support modernization initiatives involving cloud platforms, API-first architectures, event-driven solutions, automation, and emerging technologies.
- Evaluate architectural tradeoffs related to scalability, security, cost, supportability, risk, and operational efficiency.
- Identify and communicate technical debt, duplicated capabilities, and enterprise architecture risks.
- Represent Enterprise Architecture within governance forums, including Architecture Review Committee activities.
- Mentor architects, engineers, and technical teams to strengthen architectural maturity and decision quality.
- Create and maintain architecture artifacts, roadmaps, and technical documentation supporting enterprise initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred.
- 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
- Strong experience in enterprise, solution, or domain architecture across complex technology environments.
- Experience designing architectures across applications, integrations, platforms, cloud technologies, and enterprise services.
- Strong understanding of architecture methodologies, API design, integration patterns, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native solutions.
- Experience developing architecture artifacts, diagrams, roadmaps, and technical decision documentation.
- Ability to assess and communicate technical tradeoffs, enterprise risks, and operational impacts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence, mentor, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge of enterprise architecture governance, modernization strategies, and AI-aware architecture planning.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
