This is an IT Enterprise Architect position in Ford Credit's North American Shop and Buy portfolio and is responsible for understanding technical business requirements and defining architecture solutions that align to Ford Motor & Credit Companies Patterns and Standards. This position will have the opportunity to lead and shape the loan originations portfolio as Ford Credit embarks on its transformative and modernization journey. This role will provide an opportunity to work with modernization leveraging AI tools as part of the Ford Credit modernization journey.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do...
Understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determines corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
Understand emerging technology trends and disruptions and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
Work closely with the product owners and product managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Define the principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.
Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work.
Analyze the business-IT environment (run, grow and transform the business) to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and recommends solutions for improvement
Support product managers in EOL (end of life) product decisions to maintain, refresh or retire products, services, or systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and information).
Manage and develop the architecture for a broader scope of projects or products
Provide architecture solution to modernize existing on-prem system and promote cloud migration
Articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences
Translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements
Work creatively and analytically to solve business problems and propose solutions
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or Information Technology or a related study
8+ years of work experience in IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, data management, EDA and cloud development
Recent 2-3 years of work experience as an Enterprise / Solution Architect
Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments
In depth knowledge of full stack and Microservices architectures, hands on in NodeJS, ExpressJS, Angular, React, ReactNative and GraphQL
Hands on experience in Google Cloud.
Ability to set up a devops pipeline for end-to-end automated deployment
Good understanding of nuances of high performing Enterprise web and mobile application development

This position is a salary grade 6 – 8 and ranges from $72,480 - 162,120.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
