Primary Function
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for supporting the Customer 360 technology roadmap, developing a deep understanding of the current technologies that enable the customer experience, and building a bridge to support digital strategies the future. The Enterprise Architect will partner with Marketing, Sales, Technology and Digital Experience stakeholders to define and execute the Technology roadmap.
Principal Duties
Serve as a key contributor to identify, evaluate, and execute the development and implementation of Technology Roadmaps bridging Marketing, Sales, Digital Experience, Infrastructure and Service/Platform design and delivery:
- Deliver collaborative work products that align with divisional and enterprise stakeholder strategies.
- Define and produce Technology roadmaps spanning multiple stakeholders, business processes, and technology stacks while incorporating principles of product management, design-thinking, and human-centered design.
- Define and maintain architectural standards, patterns, and frameworks for application development, data management, infrastructure, and security across all systems.
- Provide architectural guidance to project teams, reviewing solution designs to ensure compliance with established standards and best practices.
- Develop highly complex research products vetting our current landscape against future trends; while evangelizing the bridge to get there, cultural adoption, and change management necessary to realize the value of investments.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies like AI (Artificial Intelligence) and assess their potential impact on the business, recommending new solutions where appropriate.
- Consult with business and technical staff to understand business need and provide thought leadership on solutions during requirements gathering sessions.
- Support critical strategic initiatives and architect simple to moderately complex technology implementation projects.
- Contribute to delivery of multiple large, complex data engineering projects simultaneously.
- Identify potential architectural risks and mitigation strategies, ensuring system resilience and data integrity.
Core Development Stack:
- Frameworks: .NET, Java, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, Glue, DynamoDB, RDS/Aurora, Kinesis, Sagemaker, Snowflake, etc.), T-SQL, etc.
- Tools/Product suites: Campaign Management, CRMs, Contact Centers, AI- Driven Chat, Rules-Based Engines for Next-Best-Actions
- Develop and deliver clear, compelling briefings to internal and external stakeholders on findings, recommendations, and solutions.
- Analyze heterogenous data & systems to determine whether requirements can be met.
- Participate in testing and validating application integrations, data pipelines, transformations, datasets, reports, and dashboards built by delivery team.
- Develop and communicate solutions architectures and present solutions to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Provide end user support to aid change management and cultural adoption.
- Performs related duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Master’s degree in related field, preferred.
- 7-10 years’ experience.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex IT systems within the financial services industry.
- Experience with both best of breed platforms, but new and emerging Microservice-based solutions that are gaining traction.
- Experience with legacy and emerging integration, data, & analytics technologies, including SOAP & REST APIs, RDBMS, ETL, and Analytics/BI architectures and workloads.
- Experience with Hadoop or other big data technologies.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud technologies.
- Experience with agile delivery methodologies and/or JIRA.
- Experience working on Linux command-line.
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements
- Ability to collaborate with all levels.
- Seasoned understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Possess deep technical background balanced with the ability to build trust as a business champion.
- Ability to address technologies that service a broad array of needs.
- Application Lifecycle management knowledge.
- Cloud-based solution design and engineering.
- AWS infrastructure as service, integration, data, and analytics deployments.
- Familiarity with comparable services for Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
- Microservice and Micro-application Strategies and Tactical Roadmaps
- Real time streaming data delivery.
- Configuration DevOps experience.
- API-first architectures.
- API Integration technologies, including MuleSoft, Apigee, etc.
