What you will be doing:

  • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices to guide technology decisions. 
  • Oversee the development of scalable, secure, and high-performing architecture models; identify optimization opportunities, cost-saving measures, and innovation initiatives aligned with strategic goals. 
  • Facilitate the Enterprise Architecture and Standards Committee and maintain enterprise-wide visibility into systems, data flows, and integration points to identify risks and opportunities.  
  • Oversee shared services teams and foster collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement across core technology functions. 
  • Partner with senior technology leaders to drive modernization and transformation efforts across P&C platforms. 
  • Drive the development of enterprise-wide architectural visibility by mapping systems, data flows, and integration points. 
  • Support the execution of AI strategies by identifying business opportunities and enabling practical AI applications.  
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure consistent and cohesive architecture delivery.  
  • Identify risks and optimization opportunities across the IT landscape.  
  • Create reusable assets (e.g., templates, reference models) to promote efficiency and standardization.  
  • Provide leadership to employees and regularly conduct effective and timely structured Progress & Growth Structured Dialogue sessions. 
  • Coach, train, and develop employees; set goals and lead to success. 
  • Conduct employee interviews and make staffing recommendations, as needed. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

What you already have:

Education, Experience, and Licensing:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field required; equivalent experience may be considered. 
  • Minimum of 12 years’ IT experience with at least 7 years in an enterprise or domain architecture role. 
  • Minimum 3 years of P&C insurance systems and regulatory considerations. 
  • Minimum 2 years of direct or indirect leadership experience.  

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

  • Understanding of developing enterprise roadmaps and delivering modernization or digital transformation initiatives.  
  • Familiarity with AI and ML as well as the integration models into operational applications.  
  • Skilled in creating reusable assets like prototypes, design templates, and documentation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Proficient in working with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, and in leveraging shared functions like automation to streamline processes and enable scalable solutions.  
  • Broad technical expertise across application, data, infrastructure, and security architecture. 
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align architecture with long-term business goals.  
  • Proficiency with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and modeling tools. 
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.  
  • Proven ability to be adaptable and flexible; able to adjust to new requirements or unforeseen issues. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across business and technical audiences. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with team members in other departments. 
  • Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
