Leidos is looking for a Enterprise Architect to support a large program within a Federal Law Enforcement Agency. As an Enterprise Architect, you will take the lead in designing and maintaining enterprise-level application architectures that support the company's strategic objectives. You will collaborate with business leaders, application development teams, IT operations, and other stakeholders to ensure that application solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs. Your role will involve developing architecture blueprints, defining application frameworks, and advising on the integration of applications within an enterprise ecosystem. This work is located onsite in the DC area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of the enterprise application architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business and IT goals.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of enterprise applications from ideation to deployment and ongoing support.
- Design and ensure seamless integration of applications across various platforms and systems, ensuring interoperability and high availability.
- Work with technical teams to design integration points, leveraging APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms for efficient communication between disparate systems.
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native applications or hybrid solutions leveraging platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Ensure application solutions are optimized for cloud environments, implementing strategies for application scalability, security, and high availability.
- Guide teams in the adoption of cloud-based services and platforms, ensuring seamless migration of applications to cloud infrastructure.
- Document the architecture of enterprise applications, including technical specifications, process flows, and integration patterns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and 12+ years of relevant experience.
- 7+ years of experience in application architecture, with a focus on enterprise applications, and at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise architecture.
- Deep experience in application development methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong background in enterprise application integration using APIs, microservices, and cloud technologies.
- Expertise in designing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in modern application frameworks, technologies, and architectures, including microservices, containerization (e.g., Docker), and Kubernetes.
- Experience with enterprise application platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Oracle) and cloud-based application development platforms.
- Strong understanding of application security practices, including secure coding and data protection.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and their integration into enterprise applications.
- Understanding of how applications support business processes and strategy, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor technical staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in designing and architecting hybrid cloud applications.
- Familiarity with container orchestration using tools like Kubernetes and Docker Swarm.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and how they apply to enterprise application architecture.
- Experience with machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) integration into enterprise applications.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect), or security (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)) are highly preferred.

Pay Range:Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
