In this exciting time of scaling our product and innovating the company with best-in-class business applications, we are looking for an Enterprise Application Engineer to join our growing team! In this role you will be crucial in the AI transformation that our IT departments are going through.
What you'll be doing:
- Design, build, and maintain integrations and automations across Finance, HR, and other enterprise business applications.
- Act as an engineer within the Business Applications team, enabling scalable, secure, and reliable system-to-system communication while supporting the company’s transition.
- Build and support API-based integrations (REST, webhooks, OAuth).
- Develop automations and workflows across P&T, Finance and HR tools.
- Design data flows and transformations between systems.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration and automation issues.
- Document integrations, data models, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, and application owners to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Apply platform and product thinking to integrations and shared capabilities.
We're looking for someone with:
- Hands-on engineering mindset with strong ownership.
- Ability to work across functional and technical domains.
- Comfortable operating in a SaaS-heavy enterprise environment.
- Alignment with Enterprise Engineering principles (platforms, products, reuse, automation-first).
- Proven experience building system integrations.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth2, webhooks.
- Solid SQL skills (complex queries, joins, validations).
- Experience with integration platforms, middleware, or workflow automation tools.
- Understanding of data models, ETL/ELT concepts, and integration patterns.
- Experience working with Finance and/or HR systems (D365 FINOPS, Workday, Payroll, Planning).
- Familiarity with Git and basic CI/CD concepts.
- Base in Zagreb or Bucharest as this will require hybrid work
- Engineering mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
- Ability to translate business problems into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solver with a continuous improvement desire.
- Comfortable working in a changing environment and helping shape new ways of working.
- Willingness to mentor others and contribute to team maturity.
