About the Role
Planful is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Sales Account Executive to join our growing sales team. The Field Sales Account Executive will be responsible for generating new leads, managing relationships with existing clients, and driving revenue growth through consultative selling of our software. This is a quota-carrying position with a focus on building and maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified prospects and closing deals.
Requirements
- Located in Pacific or Mountain time zone of the United States or Canada
- 8+ years of SaaS field sales experience, with a minimum of 5 years selling into Office of the CFO
- A track record of exceeding quota in a field sales or hybrid sales capacity, ideally within high-growth environments.
- Experience selling to the Office of the CFO or into finance/FP&A, ideally offering solutions like EPM, ERP, or analytics platforms.
- Polished communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technology into clear, business-aligned value.
- A collaborative mindset, comfort navigating matrixed sales cycles, and confidence engaging with executive-level stakeholders.
- A self-starter mentality and passion for helping customers evolve from legacy systems to modern solutions.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business sales revenue by prospecting, qualifying, and closing opportunities with target accounts within the assigned territory
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified leads, tracking and reporting progress against assigned quotas and revenue targets
- Provide the management team with reports on customer needs or interests, potential new leads, and competitive propositions
- Develop and maintain relationships with target accounts and stakeholders, work closely with them to understand business needs and articulate Planful’s offer value
- Conduct product demos and presentations to prospective clients, leveraging in-depth knowledge of our tool
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of Planful's solutions

Pay Transparency Statement
