Enterprise Account Executive (Sydney based)
Are you an experienced Enterprise Account Executive with a passion for Cyber Security? Ready to contribute to a high-growth, industry-shaping security vendor?
Due to the growing demand for our industry-leading Command Platform and MDR services, we are looking for a strategic Enterprise Account Executive to join our Sydney team. In this role, you will play a key part in the growth and success of the business in NSW. You will focus on cultivating new partnerships and nurturing existing accounts, managing meaningful business relationships to help us achieve our shared goals. This position is highly collaborative; you will be supported by our talented Sales Engineers and have direct access to Product Specialists, Channel Managers, and Customer Success teams.

By leveraging the full value of our product portfolio, our team creates tailored solutions that meet our customers' unique needs and keep their organizations safe.
About the Role
As an Enterprise Account Executive, your primary focus will be to drive new partnerships and develop growth opportunities within our Public and Private Sector customers in NSW. Specifically, your focus will be to:
  • Build authentic relationships with prospective customers, understanding their unique challenges to turn them into long-term partners.
  • Position the Rapid7 platform and Managed Security Services to create effective, value-driven solutions.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual goals through strategic planning.
  • Develop and manage a healthy pipeline, providing regular insights into your territory's growth.
  • Lead contract negotiations and support customer adoption, ensuring our partners see the full value of their investment.
  • Maintain accurate sales tracking and reporting using Salesforce.com and Clari.
  • Represent Rapid7 at industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Partner effectively with Channel and MSSP organizations to grow the NSW business together.
  • Manage and respond to RFPs, coordinating with internal stakeholders across the globe.

The skills and qualities you'll bring include:
  • 5+ years of experience in a New Business Sales role, ideally within Cyber Security, SaaS, or Cloud environments.
  • Proven experience identifying market opportunities and guiding customers through a thoughtful sales process.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and sales cycles simultaneously while staying focused on outcomes.
  • A consistent track record of meeting goals and delivering results in a new business environment.
  • Existing professional relationships within the NSW Enterprise Sector.
  • A self-starter mindset with the desire to build and grow your own territory like a business.
  • A natural ability to collaborate with SEs, Customer Success, and Product specialists to create genuine customer value.
  • Comfort navigating evolving environments and the ability to find clarity in ambiguous situations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
