Summary Generated by Built In

Tessl is a fast-growing Series A startup based in London, founded by Guy Podjarny, who previously founded Snyk. We’ve raised more than $100 million from world-class investors, including Index Ventures, Accel, GV and Boldstart. In 2025, Tessl ranked #2 in Sifted’s B2B SaaS Rising 100 and #20 in its AI 100.

We’re building the context layer for AI coding agents and a platform for AI-native software development. As an early member of the team, you’ll help shape how we build and scale a company operating at the forefront of AI and software development.

Overview of role

We're hiring an Enterprise Account Executive to own full-cycle sales into large engineering organizations across North America. You'll work closely with our Field Engineering, Marketing, and Product teams, reporting to our Head of Sales.

We're in the early innings for this motion. A lot is in place, but the enterprise playbook is still developing. Success looks like building a high quality pipeline with your individual efforts and in partnership with marketing and product, landing new logos, and turning early deployments into reference-able customers.

What you'll do

Pipeline and deal ownership

  • Be a confident, consistent prospector across multiple channels: email, phone, events, and your own creative efforts.

  • Source and run enterprise sales cycles end to end: prospecting, discovery, technical validation, negotiation, and closing.

  • Navigate multi-threaded deals across engineering leadership, security, legal, and procurement to convert technical wins into signed contracts.

  • Land enterprise-sized deals, then build the champion relationships that turn deployments into broad adoption. This is a land-and-expand motion, and the land needs to be real.

Customer and technical engagement

  • Steer the process from first conversation through use case identification, technical validation, ROI and financial justification, and procurement, to signature.

  • Run discovery and demos with VPs of engineering, CTOs, and senior engineering leaders, with support from our field engineering team for deep technical validation.

  • Bring customer feedback back to product and marketing to improve how we go to market and deliver customer value.

Process and team

  • Partner closely with Field Engineering, Marketing, and Product to sharpen positioning as the category matures.

  • Bring agentic techniques to your sales workflow, from prospecting to sales execution. We're an AI-forward GTM org, and building with AI is the default here.

  • Adapts fast when process, messaging, or strategy shifts, and brings the ambition to build through it.

  • Your CRM is the source of truth on your business. Keep it current on deal stage, next steps, and forecast category.

What we're looking for
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise software with a track record of beating quota.

  • Creates net-new pipeline through direct, proactive outbound - a Hunter.

  • Sells credibly to VPs of engineering, CTOs, and senior engineering leaders. You can hold your own in a technical conversation without an SE in every meeting. Prior experience selling into developer tools or infrastructure is a plus.

  • Thrives in a category that's still emerging. This role rewards grit, hustle, and the ability to build pipeline where no playbook exists yet.

  • Fluency in a structured sales methodology (MEDDPICC, Command of Message, or similar). You qualify well and know how to find a champion and economic buyer.

  • Takes ownership of outcomes and defaults to action.

Salary and benefits

Location: Remote - North America. ~25% travel for customer meetings and company events.

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and skills. We provide health insurance which extends to partners and dependents, as well as a pension.

Application process

Here's what to expect during the interview process:

  1. Recruiter screen to discuss the role, your background, and what success in the role and at Tessl entails.

  2. Culture and ownership fit conversation with our Head of Sales.

  3. Peer discussion with a Tessl seller to explore what has made you successful in the past and how you'd apply that here.

  4. Panel presentation on a deal, your approach to selling, and how you’re embracing AI.

  5. Final conversation with leadership.

We care deeply about the warm, inclusive environment we’re building at Tessl and we value diversity – we welcome applications from those typically underrepresented in tech. If you like the sound of this role but are not totally sure whether you’re the right person, do apply anyway!
