POSITION SUMMARY:
The Enrollment Operations Specialist advances the Seminary's enrollment mission by managing and leading the operational systems that enable the Enrollment Team to recruit, serve, and enroll future church workers effectively. This position coordinates the logistics, communications, and processes behind recruitment efforts, allowing Admission Officers to maximize their time building relationships with prospective students. The specialist also provides operational support for enrollment events, campus visits, Admission Officer travel, sourcing prospective contacts, and some administrative functions while continually identifying ways to improve efficiency and the prospective student experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate the operational aspects of the Seminary's enrollment and recruitment efforts, including campus visits, recruitment events, retreats, and travel logistics.
- Manage the Seminary's database of LCMS entities and relationships to support strategic recruitment efforts.
- Cultivate prospective student leads through timely communication, follow-up, appointment scheduling, and other recruitment activities as assigned.
- Coordinate the Faculty Phone-A-Thon, working collaboratively with faculty members and Admission Officers.
- Plan and execute the logistics necessary to provide an exceptional campus visit experience for prospective students, carrying out the vision of the Director of Enrollment.
- Provide operational support for Admission Officer travel, including planning itineraries, booking travel in advance, preparing materials, and communicating with prospective students, pre-seminary directors, and other LCMS partners as appropriate.
- Process reimbursement requests for prospective students and Enrollment Team members in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and operational documentation.
- Continually identify and implement opportunities to improve enrollment systems, workflows, and the prospective student experience.
- Perform other enrollment and recruitment-related duties as assigned in support of the Seminary's mission.
ANCILLARY DUTIES:
- Attend all meetings as directed by the Director of Enrollment.
- Represent the seminary at events as directed by the Director of Enrollment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and its congregations and mission.
- High School diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Attention to detail and an appreciation for hospitality and customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Skilled in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and other technology as required and trained.
