Position Details

Palm Lake Care Bargara are currently looking for an Enrolled Nurse to join our team. 


You will work under the guidance of the Clinical Manager and with the Registered Nurse to ensure all residents are receiving the highest possible care. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all aspects of resident care as required by the Registered Nurse in line with our policies and procedures. You will engage in nursing practices that enhance the dignity and integrity of the resident’s independence.

Shifts Available:Week 1
  • Morning Shift: 6.00AM - 2.00PM, Friday, Saturday & Sunday (weekend penalty rate)
  • Afternoon Shift: 2.00PM - 10.00PM, Thursday 
Week 2
  • Afternoon Shift: 2.00PM - 10.00PM, Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday (weekend penalty rate)

Weekend and public holiday shifts available with penalty rates.


Responsibilities

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will play an essential role in delivering quality clinical care to our residents, under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality, person centred clinical care and accurate documentation

  • Supporting and guiding Personal Care Assistants in providing resident care

  • Participating in resident admissions and assessments under the guidance of a Registered Nurse

  • Administering medications safely and in accordance with legislation

  • Completing wound care and other specialised nursing care as required

  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualised care plans

  • Working collaboratively with allied health professionals and families to support holistic care

  • Ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, the Aged Care Charter of Rights, and infection control practices

  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and audits

  • Attending clinical and team meetings to support continuous improvement

  • Reporting incidents, changes in residents’ conditions, and deficiencies in care to the Registered Nurse

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma of Nursing with current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse

  • Current National Police Check

  • Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with residents, families, and staff

  • Initiative, problem-solving ability, and accountability for actions taken

  • Ability to identify and escalate changes in residents’ conditions

  • A commitment to providing compassionate, respectful, and person-centred care

  • A positive and proactive attitude toward continuous learning and improvement

  • (Optional) Current “C” Class driver’s licence

You’ll stand out if you have:

  • Previous experience in aged care.
  • Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail.
  • A positive attitude, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
