Job Description

An exceptional opportunity is available for a motivated Enrolled Nurse to join our high-performing perioperative team, specializing in Anaesthetics. Working under the direction of Registered Nurses and Anaesthetists, you will play a crucial role in preparing specialized equipment, managing airway consumables, and ensuring a safe clinical environment for every patient. This fast-paced role allows you to utilize your sharp clinical skills during the critical induction and reversal phases of anesthesia across a diverse surgical caseload. It is the perfect environment for a detail-oriented EN to expand their technical knowledge and thrive in an acute procedural setting.

As a member of our clinical team you will be planning, evaluating and delivering care to patients with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to our patients. In the Perioperative department. you can expect to care for multiple specialties including, orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, renal, urology, and plastics-reconstructive. Our Nurse Educators will provide support transitioning into the new hospital and help to build knowledge and skill in the specialties cared for.

About You
You will be a trained nurse with strong customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:

  • Relevant qualifications and registrations with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse (IV Qualified)
  • Previous experience working in an acute hospital environment in a surgical field.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating 7-day roster is essential
  • Demonstrates excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Work well with a team.
