About Our Engineering Team

We rely on our Jetstar Engineering Team to deliver our superior safety standards, up to the second. They’re the trouble-shooters, glitch-fixers and tech-experts who make sure we take to the sky safely. Solving problems. Trying new things. Getting hands-on. Fixing and double checking. It’s all part of the day job as a Jetstar Engineer – whether you’re on the frontline as a Maintenance Engineer or in our Engineering Corporate & Support Team ensuring that we land deadlines, keep projects on track and work as a team to help us transform our fleet for the better.

Your Opportunity

We are currently looking for an Engineering Training Coordinator to join our Engineering team! This position will be responsible for coordinating the day to day and future planning of the Engineering training requirements as identified in the Training Burden.

Reporting to the Engineering Training Manager, you will work closely with the engineering managers to identify regulatory, business support and development training needs which is built into the Engineering Training Matrix. In addition, you will work closely with Approved Training Providers to ensure a standard of training is provided which meets those required by CASR Parts 42, 66, and 147. You will ensure the training is carried out in accordance with the relevant CASR Part 145 and 42 expositions.

We’re Looking For Someone Who has

  • Relevant tertiary qualification preferred, Cert IV in Training & Assessment (desired/not essential)
  • Aircraft Industry Training Experience (desired)
  • Good negotiation skills and implementation of high-profile projects/initiatives
  • Proven record in initiative, determination, and achievement
  • Detailed understanding of regulatory requirements for engineering maintenance organisations.
  • Excellent customer service skills – capable of identifying customer needs – using various data sources
  • Sound knowledge of time and priority management, business analysis and review techniques
  • Prior experience using Success Factors or similar Learning Management Systems

This role is highly administrative and demands a strong level of organisation, attention to detail, and initiative. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, able to respond effectively under pressure and at short notice. Success in this position requires excellent time management, clear communication, and the ability to prioritise competing tasks in a dynamic environment.
