Are you ready to take the next step in your career and join our team as our Engineering Tools Specialist at KONE Mexico, based in the Torreón area? 

  • Do you hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field? 

  • Do you have a Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or digital engineering discipline (preferred)? 

  • Do you have 3–5 years of proven experience in engineering (design, manufacturing, or product development), preferably with direct product interaction? 

  • Do you have 3–5 years of experience with structured 3D modeling and a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts? 

  • Are you able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing? 

  • Do you have strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines? 

  • Do you have programming knowledge, including intermediate-level scripting in any language?

As our Engineering Tools Specialist, you will play a key role in driving excellence in 3D modeling practices by acting as a process champion. You will develop and maintain standards to ensure consistency and quality across all modeling activities, while conducting regular audits of both existing and new design content. In this role, you will also serve as the first point of contact for 3D modeling-related topics, supporting onboarding and training initiatives to strengthen team capabilities. 

In addition, you will act as a CAD Automation Key User, supporting and troubleshooting issues related to CAD automation tools, including integrations with PDM and Windchill systems. You will perform root cause analysis for failed processes and help maintain effective communication channels between global system owners and local users to ensure smooth operations. 

You will also contribute to frontline CAD development by building capabilities aligned with the FLCAD roadmap, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and assisting in the integration of legacy platforms into modern engineering tools. 

As part of your responsibilities, you will operate as a key user with elevated access to manage product document structures when required, carefully assessing requests to ensure accuracy and compliance. You will play an important role in maintaining the quality and integrity of engineering tools, ensuring adherence to established standards, and supporting effective communication across teams.
