The Opportunity
TC Energy is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in various locations to support our efforts in Energy Problem Solving and our daily operations.
We are seeking students enrolled in a Diploma or Trades Program, specializing in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation or Automation Engineering Technology, Power Engineering, Chemical Engineering Technology or related degree program.
We engage our technical interns in the very core of our operations. As a valued member of the team, you’ll do exciting, challenging work, solve real world problems, and make a meaningful impact. You’ll learn about the business and build your professional network by working closely with other skilled people at TC Energy. Every day will enhance your knowledge, skills and passion for what you do.
The term is for 4 months and is based in Slave Lake, Athabasca, Red Earth, or Wabasca, Alberta.
What you’ll do
- Assist senior technicians in operations/troubleshooting of measurement and compression facilities
- Line marking
- Record keeping and print/file retention
- Limited maintenance and housekeeping of the field and facility
Minimum Qualifications
- Actively enrolled in a Diploma or Trades Program, specializing in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation or Automation Engineering Technology, Power Engineering, Chemical Engineering Technology or related degree program with at least one semester of education completed
- Enrollment at an accredited Polytechnic, and returning to school for at least one semester following your work term
- Exhibit a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting
