Overview

Holley Performance Brands is seeking a hands-on technical professional to support engineering test, validation, product development, and technical support activities. This role serves as a key resource to the Engineering team by executing validation activities, supporting engineering work requests, developing prototypes and test setups, and helping ensure product and technical information is accurate and complete.

The ideal candidate will bring strong automotive electronics knowledge, methodical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute engineering test and validation activities for products, systems, and vehicle applications. 
  • Document validation activities, findings, and results through clear and accurate test reports. 
  • Identify, document, and communicate issues discovered during testing and validation. 
  • Support and execute engineering work requests and day-to-day technical needs. 
  • Build and support product prototypes, wiring harnesses, test setups, and related documentation. 
  • Review engineering specifications, technical documentation, and product information for accuracy and completeness. 
  • Research, maintain, and provide technical information to support engineering and product development activities. 
  • Support troubleshooting and methodical root-cause investigation of product and vehicle-related issues. 
  • Participate in various phases of the product lifecycle, including development, validation, launch, and ongoing product support. 
  • Provide technical and product support to internal teams as needed. 
  • Represent Holley from a product and technical perspective when interacting with internal teams, customers, or other stakeholders. 
  • Support vehicle fleet management and coordination for engineering and validation activities. 
  • Work extensively in engineering labs, vehicle workshops, and field validation environments. 
  • Follow established safety requirements while working with vehicles, electrical systems, tools, and test equipment. 
  • Travel up to 10% as needed to support testing, validation, or other engineering activities. 

What You Bring

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Automotive Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 
  • At least 1 year of technical support experience and 2 years of experience with vehicle electronics testing, validation, installation, or a related technical function. 
  • Strong working knowledge of automotive aftermarket electronics installation and troubleshooting. 
  • Demonstrated ability to approach technical problems methodically and drive issues toward resolution. 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, specifications, and related engineering information. 
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional development environment. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, leadership, customers, and other stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Self-motivated with a continuous-improvement mindset. 

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, UART, MOST, FlexRay, or similar vehicle networks. 
  • Experience using test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, automotive data-bus analyzers, and USB protocol analyzers. 
  • Experience with vehicle electronics validation, instrumentation, wiring harness development, or prototype builds. 
  • Experience working in an automotive engineering, test lab, or vehicle development environment. 

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods. 
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds as needed. 
  • Ability to work in engineering labs, vehicle workshops, field environments, and areas that may not be climate controlled. 
  • Work may consist of approximately 25% desk-based activity, up to 75% engineering lab activity, and significant field or vehicle validation activity depending on project needs. 
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
