Engineering Tech 2

• Performs intermediate Test engineering tasks and activities under the direction of Test Engineering team. Supports engineering test station and test procedure development.
• Engaged in test station build support and the development of testing procedures to improve test efficiency, and accuracy.
• Contributes to the enhancement of test documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Engages in the maintenance and improvement of test solutions, ensuring manufacturability and alignment with product specifications.
• Contributes to the troubleshooting and calibration of test equipment, enhancing the precision and reliability of test results.
• Coordinates with production teams to develop and refine testing procedures and protocols, ensuring comprehensive coverage and reliable test results.
• Occasionally supports production to resolve difficult debug escalations.
• Working knowledge of test executables, test stand, functional test systems and LabVIEW etc.
• Participates in the analysis of test data, identifying patterns and making recommendations for process improvements.
• Analyzes electronic and electromechanical assemblies to determine cause of product defect to include circuit analysis, part identification diagnosis and replacement of defective components to bring product into specification.
• Analyzes defective components to determine failure cause and provide report, if necessary, for Engineering and Supply Chain corrective action.
• Read wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Required Experience

• College Diploma (2 Year), with relevant coursework in electronics and manufacturing processes or equivalent industry and/or military experience
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.

Skills Required:

• Advanced understanding of electronics manufacturing and troubleshooting.
• Knowledgeable about IPC 610 Standard and/or J-STD-001.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical documents and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective oral and written English communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior technicians or interns.
• Effective understanding of Lean principles, six sigma and industrial ergonomics preferred.
• Familiar with PLM, MES, and CMMS systems.
• Proficient in using Computer systems and knowledge of CAD/CAM and programming preferred.
