Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of high-volume, user-centric applications.
- Partner with product, design, and business stakeholders to align goals and roadmap.
- Coach and develop engineers to create psychological safety, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Prioritize, plan, and balance speed, quality, and risk using OKRs and clear metrics.
- Ship metrics-driven projects that apply DDD, Team Topologies, and agile best practices to deliver measurable customer impact.
- Own delivery, reliability, and operational outcomes for your domain end-to-end.
- Drive operational excellence by boosting reliability, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency while aggressively reducing tech debt.
- Research new technologies, champion best practices, and cultivate a learning-first, innovation-focused culture.
Expected Qualifications
- BSc in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience leading engineering teams with direct reports in fast-paced, customer-focused environments.
- Proven ability to drive delivery, empower teams, and set clear priorities.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across diverse stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of modern architecture, design principles, and technical trade-offs, with hands-on coding experience as part of your core skill set.
- Business-savvy; comfortable using data to guide decisions and demonstrate value.
- Familiarity with concepts like DDD, Team Topologies, OKRs, and agile methodologies.
- Proactive, thrives in ambiguity, removes roadblocks, and inspires high performance.
- Experience owning production systems end-to-end, including reliability and incident response, is a plus.
