As an Engineering Support Specialist II here at Honeywell Aerospace and part of the Honeywell Aerospace PI-Product Assurance Airworthiness & Certification (PAAC) organization, you will be responsible for providing Aerospace level certification oversight.  You will be expected to support the certification team in different activities including TSO Transfers, Quality reviews, Document Publications etc.


You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.  Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.  


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accessing Teamcenter, Technical Publications, secure Honeywell server locations, microfiche, and paper archives to locate legacy Product Certification records. 
  • Gathering, organizing, and maintaining Product Certification documentation for legacy products intended for licensing to external companies. 
  • Comparing located certification records against proposed License offerings to identify any differences between License part numbers and the corresponding FAA TSO requirements. 
  • Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings to support accurate certification record analysis. 
  • Creating clear, concise technical documentation; technical writing capability is desirable
  • Support TSO managers for TSO Packages
  • Quality reviews of TSO letters
  • Support Quality review activities
  • Support Inspection Unit member activities 
Qualifications

 YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering support or related technical roles

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • Knowledge of TSO authorization letters
  • Knowledge of Team center and other configuration control tools
  • Knowledge of aircraft wiring diagrams and associated documentation
  • Self-directing with ability to manage schedules & metrics is preferred 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and productivity gains through use of collaborative team methods is preferred
  • Knowledge of avionics products including communication, navigation, surveillance, flight controls, flight management systems

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.​
