Credence has an immediate need for an Engineering Support Manager who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance / Special Operation Forces (ISR/SOF) Directorate at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH.
The Air Force Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) and Special Operations Forces (SOF) (AFPEO/WI) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility for equipping our war-fighters to win the fight.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
- Translate FMS user requirements into system requirements. These requirements will be used by the weapon system contractor to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate systems, subsystems, and equipment for deployment.
- Assist in performing technical/mission analyses of operational requirements, assist in developing system concepts, and perform technological/trade-off study assessments of proposed designs.
- Assist with the processes for drafting project documentation. This includes Statements of Objectives (SOOs), Statements of Work (SOWs), program plans, schedules, and presentations.
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing technical proposals or modifications for cost, design feasibility, and system compatibility.
- Provide rapid response engineering service and support as augmentation to organic resources. This includes in-depth problem identification, impact assessment, and development of corrective actions for critical supportability problems.
- Assist in reviewing Contractor documents and data and providing comments.
- Assist test teams in developing test requirements and reviewing test plans.
- Assist in supporting and conducting engineering performance, effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, cost-performance, life-cycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical/schedule risk assessment, and scheduling trade-off studies.
- Assist in evaluating systems test plans (such as systems test plans/test and evaluation master plans) and participate in conducting system, subsystem, and component testing.
- Provide systems/subsystems integration support for the acquisition, development, and verification of systems and equipment.
Requirements
- Must have at least an active secret clearance
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a related field and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, at least five (5) of which must be in the DoD
- OR, Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD
- OR, a minimum of fifteen (15) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
