We are looking for an…. Engineering Supervisor to lead our Engineering team and ensure the reliable, efficient, and safe operation of all hotel systems and facilities. The Engineering Supervisor partners closely with the Chief Engineer and hotel operations teams, overseeing daily workflow, prioritizing maintenance needs, supporting team development, and ensuring that all work aligns with Lyle’s culture, mission, and commitment to heartfelt hospitality.

Engineering Supervisor – Essential Functions

  • Oversee daily operations of the Engineering team, including task assignments, follow‑up, and quality control
  • Lead, train, and mentor Engineers to ensure consistent performance, strong teamwork, and adherence to safety standards
  • Monitor and maintain all building systems—including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life‑safety—with a focus on preventive maintenance
  • Respond to and support the resolution of complex maintenance issues and guest requests
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, rooms, and public spaces to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality
  • Collaborate with department leaders to support hotel operations, special projects, and facility improvements
  • Maintain accurate records for maintenance logs, inspections, inventory, and compliance documentation
  • Support budget management by monitoring supply usage, recommending repairs, and prioritizing projects
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Serve as acting leader of the department in the absence of the Chief Engineer

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Previous hotel or facilities engineering experience required; supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Proven ability to lead by example, coach teams, and communicate effectively across departments
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and organization skills
  • Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and solutions‑driven in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency with work order systems and basic administrative reporting
  • Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Commitment to high service standards and guest satisfaction

Compensation:

$25.00 - $30.00 hourly rate
