Roles and Responsibilities
- Project execution support
- Gather, analyze, and publish critical project metrics and dashboards
- Create and manage burn-up/burn-down charts and delivery/release plans
- Track actions, risks, and dependencies; escalate issues in a timely manner
- Lead or contribute to lean/process improvement initiatives
- Engineering tools and access
- Serve as point of contact for access to engineering/project tools (RTC, Box, DOORS/DXL, Rally, Spotfire, Confluence, Jira, etc.)
- Develop, implement, and maintain tools, queries, and metrics that help engineers
- Resource and supplier coordination
- Assist with onboarding of GE hires, purchased services, and contractors
- Partner with Technical Managers to identify key skillsets and assign resources
- Support ongoing third-party activities: statements of work, purchase order updates, supplier performance monitoring, and collaboration with NPI Sourcing
- Leadership support
- Provide CP leadership with insights to inform strategic decisions
- Maintain monthly headcount supply/demand tracking at department and project levels
- Contribute to improving team effectiveness and cross-functional interfaces
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Operations
Desired Characteristics
- Proficiency in Excel, including creating project plan lines with burn-up/burn-down charts
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems; self-starter, results-oriented, able to multi-task
- Familiarity with regulated engineering development processes
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Filters, Charts, Tables); strong metrics and query development
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience with DOORS and DXL
- Experience with change and configuration management processes/tools
- Established project management skills; ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management and Activity-Based Management
- Effective collaboration with global and virtual teams
