About the role
We are looking for a motivated and curious intern to join our team at Electrolux, focusing on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). This role offers a unique opportunity to work hands-on with Siemens Teamcenter while exploring how emerging AI capabilities can enhance engineering and product development processes.This internship can also be combined with a Master’s thesis project, allowing you to deepen your research and contribute strategically to our digital transformation journey.
Background
PLM systems play a critical role in managing product data, processes, and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain functions. At Electrolux, Siemens Teamcenter is a core platform supporting these activities.
With rapid advancements in AI—such as generative AI, natural language interfaces, and intelligent automation—new opportunities are emerging to improve usability, data quality, and workflows within PLM environments. However, many organizations are still at an early stage in leveraging these capabilities effectively.
What you’ll do:
During this internship (and thesis, if applicable), you will:
Research key AI capabilities relevant to PLM, including Teamcenter
Identify emerging trends in AI adoption within engineering environments
Assess where AI can add value to PLM processes
Evaluate a small set of prioritized use cases (e.g., search, data quality, workflow support)
Review basic data, system, and integration requirements
Summarize findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations
Master Thesis Opportunity (Optional)
If conducted as a thesis, the scope can be extended to include:
A structured literature review
Deeper analysis of selected use cases
Development of a simple proof-of-concept
Final presentation of results to stakeholders
Who you are
We are looking for someone who:
Is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Remain an active student throughout the entire internship period with expected graduation date June 2027 or 2028.
Background in PLM, CAD, or engineering systems is a strong advantage.
Has an interest in AI, digital transformation, and engineering systems
Is analytical, structured, and comfortable working with complex topics
Has strong communication skills and enjoys collaborating with others
Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)

Where you’ll be:
You will be based in Stockholm, our modern global Headquarter, with 1200+ colleagues on site. We work in a hybrid setup that gives everyone up to 20% flexibility to work remotely, while boosting creativity and collaboration through regular office presence.The work contract is full-time and limited to 6 months, with monthly compensation of 21,000 SEK for Bachelor students and 22,000 SEK for Master students.
