Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Engineering Services Manager for one of our offices in Sacramento, CA.

SUMMARY

The Engineering Services Manager directs and manages the tasks associated with civil design criteria development, special technical studies, final design and construction support, preliminary engineering support, and procurement engineering support. The Engineering Services Manager coordinates with Structural, Seismic, Geotechnical, Surveying, and Tunneling leads and relevant branches and stakeholders to update the civil engineering design related chapters for future procurement reference. Engineering Services Manager provides technical review and support to the various projects including preliminary engineering, detail designs, and constructions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinating with Technical Discipline leads for Engineering Requirements & Standards (DCM & DD Drawings)
  • Coordination of CADD services
  • Construction Support Services (TBC) – currently for Central Valley CP1 / CP2-3 / CP4
  • Coordination of Engineering support services for other program offices and functions including right of way, procurement, legal, project controls and also with other Planning and Engineering teams including Network Integration & Assurance, Rail Engineering, Planning & Sustainability and Environmental Services.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Experienced Civil Engineer – circa 15 years +
  • California PE or other equivalent national or international qualification
  • Good all round experience of linear infrastructure for major transportation projects, preferably rail projects
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Located – preferably Sacramento or Northern California – within travelling distance of Sacramento
