Responsibilities:
- Manage & execute complex & multi-faceted projects
- Direct multiple concurrent projects ensuring compliance with budgeted goals & funding
- Develop & mentor engineering & facilities associates in all facets of project management & engineering practices
- Provide expert consultation in conceptual design, development & implementation of manufacturing process quality & cost-effective improvements
- Ensure compliance with engineering-related federal, state & local regulatory standards & directives
- Identify technological alternatives and emerging advances related to Boar’s Head manufacturing processes & facilities
- Oversee utility management to insure energy effectiveness, requirement compliance & identification of energy reduction opportunities
- Interface & negotiate with outside vendors & equipment manufacturers to obtain the best value services & goods
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or Electrical is preferred
- Over 10 – 13 years of experience managing groups that provide diverse technical support.
- Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
- American Meat Institute (AMI) guidelines for sanitary designs
- Strong project management & organizational skills
- Demonstrated track record of successful completion of projects within time & budget constraints
- Experienced in coaching & mentoring skills
- Knowledge of food manufacturing facilities requirements, with a focus on food safety.
