Job Description

Summary

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing audio systems for automotive applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with customer, OEMs, requirements and specifications for products such as audio amplifiers and microphones.
  • Thoroughly understand customer requirements, specifications, and expectations.
  • Create and maintain an internal database for products, audio amplifiers, and customer-issued specifications.
  • Manage Bose products and negotiate testing with customers.
  • Participate in internal and external design reviews, leading customer design reviews for assigned products.
  • Conduct and support internal development, including circuit design review, PCB design review, component selection review, EMC review, drawing review, and BOM review.
  • Oversee prototype builds and delivery arrangements.
  • Support system integration for vehicle-level and system-level operation checks, reviews, and issue resolution.
  • Conduct detailed amplifier measurements and evaluations as needed.
  • Manage project-related documents and drawings, both internally and externally.
  • Handle customer open issue databases and internal open issue databases.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or System Engineering.
  • Experience in electrical or system design, analysis, and measurement.
  • Hands-on engineering experience.
  • Experience in system requirement management.
  • Preferred experience in automotive system engineering.
  • Driver’s license preferred.

  • Manage Bose products, audio amps, test negotiation with customer.
  • Participate internal and external design review. Takes lead for responsible products external design review.
  • Conduct/Support internal development, circuit design/review, PCB design/review, components selection/review, EMC review, Drawing creation/review, BOM creation/review, etc.
  • Manage prototype build and the delivery arrangement.
  • Support system integration for Vehicle-level/System-level operation check/review and issue handling.
  • Conduct detail amplifier measurement, evaluation as needed.
  • Manage internal and external project related documents/drawings arrangement.
  • Manage customer open issue database handling and internal open issue database, JIRA.

  • Experience in automotive system engineering preferred.
  • Driver’s license preferred.
