About the Role
The Engineering Program Manager – Food and Beverage plays a critical, highly visible role in delivering YETI’s industry‑leading drinkware portfolio. This position owns end‑to‑end accountability for color, material and finish (CMF) programs, guiding products from initial charter through design, validation, manufacturing, and launch. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Engineering Program Manager partners with cross‑functional leaders and global manufacturing partners to ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to YETI’s uncompromising quality and performance standards. The role also drives strategic supply‑chain and sustaining initiatives across an existing product portfolio.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and lead complex, cross‑functional CMF programs from concept through launch and lifecycle support, with full accountability for scope, schedule, cost, quality, and performance
  • Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent programs, accounting for interdependencies, shared resources, and business risk
  • Apply sound judgment and analytical decision‑making to assess tradeoffs related to design, manufacturing readiness, cost targets, quality, safety, and customer experience
  • Lead cross‑functional global teams across Engineering, Design, Sourcing, Quality, Product, IT, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and external manufacturing partners
  • Drive non‑routine problem solving, including root‑cause analysis and corrective action for technical, manufacturing, or operational challenges
  • Act as the primary program interface for stakeholders, ensuring clear, timely, and effective communication across all levels, including executive leadership
  • Establish and maintain robust program documentation, including charters, integrated schedules, budgets, risk registers, and action logs
  • Facilitate Gate Review meetings and present program status, risks, and recommendations to senior and executive audiences
  • Support business needs  including:
    • New color and finish development
    • Capacity and throughput expansion
    • New supplier onboarding and qualification
  • Identify and drive opportunities to improve program execution efficiency, development processes, and overall product delivery quality

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Greater than five (5) years of progressive experience leading complex engineering, manufacturing, or product development programs
  • Proven experience leading new product development and sustaining engineering initiatives
  • Strong working knowledge of program management methodologies and governance frameworks
  • Manufacturing experience within consumer goods is highly preferred; polymers manufacturing experience is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal oversight while managing ambiguity and competing priorities
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence without authority across global, cross‑functional teams
  • Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting to executive stakeholders
  • Innovative, analytical problem solver with a high level of attention to detail and time management discipline
  • PMP certification preferred
