Engineer Manager plans, directs, and coordinates production activities within an engineering project. They need to possess a unique set of skills that combine technical expertise with people management skills.
Essential Functions- Research and develop designs and products.
- Determine the need for training and talent development.
- Hire contractors and build teams.
- Ensure products have the support of upper management.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams.
- Lead research and development projects that produce modern designs, products, and processes.
- Check the team’s work for accuracy.
- Coordinate work with other managers and staff.
- Print and specification reading and interpretation and creation using AutoCAD Inventor.
- Strong Mechanical aptitude; Process Improvement mindset, Analyzing Information.
- Verbal Communication; Informing Others, Continual Improvement, Mindfulness, and Thoroughness. Dealing with Complexity; Statistics, Lean workplace, General knowledge of manufacturing and, Machining practices.
QualificationsRequired Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering Technology preferred. Relevant job experience in lieu of Engineering Degree acceptable.

The Engineer Manager will frequently spend time on the manufacturing floor as well as in the office. While on the manufacturing floor, the employee must wear eye and hearing protection. It is highly recommended to wear safety-toed-shoes while around manufacturing equipment.
