NZ Hi-Tech Company of the Year 2023, Cin7 is a fast-growing global software company that provides solutions for modern-day product sellers. We help these sellers keep track of their inventory at scale, and help them sell their products across multiple sales channels around the world.

Cin7 is expanding very quickly with a mission to become the leading Inventory Management Software brand in the world, and we are looking for a motivated and driven individual to join the team.

How you'll make an impact:

As Engineering Manager, you will lead and develop our engineering and QA teams for our Omni product, ensuring high-quality technical delivery, strong engineering practices, and cohesive team performance. You will provide technical guidance, mentorship, and strategic leadership to help teams deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-performing software.

Working in close partnership with the CTO, Engineering Operations Manager, and Product Leadership, you will shape the engineering culture, champion technical excellence, and ensure the engineering organization operates predictably, efficiently, and aligned to business outcomes. What you'll do:

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership to help teams solve complex problems and build maintainable systems.
  • Partner with senior engineers to shape technical roadmaps, reduce technical debt, and ensure architectural consistency.
  • Lead, coach, and develop engineers and QA professionals through clear expectations, feedback, and career growth support.
  • Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery by improving execution practices, CI/CD, release readiness, and defect management.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering Operations, DevOps, and Customer Support to align priorities, dependencies, and plans.
  • Own and evolve QA strategy, driving shift-left quality and continuous improvement in testing practices and metrics.
  • Identify bottlenecks and systemic issues, then lead improvements to workflows, tooling, and engineering maturity.
  • Communicate direction, tradeoffs, and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll bring:

  • 3–5+ years leading engineering teams in a technology, SaaS, or platform environment.
  • Proven success managing both development and QA disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience driving engineering excellence through improved standards, tooling, testing, or architectural leadership.
  • Track record of delivering complex, multi-team software initiatives with quality and predictability.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, SDLC, QA automation strategies, and modern delivery pipelines.
  • Experience hiring, developing, and coaching technical teams in fast-growing organizations.
