About the RoleWe are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a product engineering team building core capabilities of the Tabs platform. You will be responsible for people leadership, delivery execution, and technical decision-making, while partnering closely with Product and Design.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving engineering processes, and shipping impactful software in a fast-moving environment.
What You’ll DoLead and develop a team of software engineers through coaching, feedback, and career growth
Own delivery planning and execution for your team, ensuring predictable and high-quality outcomes
Partner with Product and Design to define scope, timelines, and technical approach
Guide architectural and technical decisions while maintaining a high quality bar
Improve engineering processes, tooling, and team health over time
Hire and onboard new engineers as the team scales
A people-first engineering leader who enjoys growing other engineers
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making pragmatic tradeoffs
Technically credible, with strong system design and engineering fundamentals
Clear communicator who builds trust across functions
Accountable, proactive, and continuously looking to improve how teams work
7–10+ years of software engineering experience
3+ years managing engineers in a product-focused environment
Experience working closely with Product and Design
Background in modern backend, frontend, or full-stack systems
Startup or high-growth company experience preferred
This role is based in New York City at our Soho office.
