You’ll work closely with global colleagues across the US, London, and India, in a cross-functional environment partnering directly with Product, Data, Security, Design, UX, and Delivery.
About The Role:
Condé Nast is looking for a seasoned, hands-on Engineering Leader to help build and scale the next generation of our global Identity and Access Management capabilities. You will lead the development of secure, high-performance backend services that authenticate millions of users, manage identity lifecycles, enforce fine-grained access policies, and maintain customer trust across all brands.
You will partner closely with Security, Product, and cross-functional engineering teams to define identity contracts, authorization frameworks, and architectural patterns that enable secure, consistent access across platforms. These teams’ focus spans core areas such as authentication, authorization, federation, consent management, and customer identity resolution—capabilities that are foundational to
every brand experience at Condé Nast. Your work will shape the future of our global customer identity strategy and directly impact how millions of readers securely interact with our products around the world.
Role and responsibilities
● Lead and Influence the team of software developers to deliver quality Products.
● Guide and Mentor team for career progression and Continuous skill Building.
● Hire and Develop ‘A’ Team for Software Product Development.
● Work with Stakeholders and Product Teams to deliver and define a roadmap.
● Deliver a consistent and reliable Backend service.
● Define and Drive Implementable, resilient Software Delivery and Development Process.
About you - Essential skills
● You have a BE / BTech or equivalent experience
● 10 + years of experience developing Microservices, Nodejs/Java/Golang/Python
● 3 + years of experience of People Management and leading teams
● Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases at scale of millions of records.
● Experience in building and leading large scale Identity/ IDAM systems
● Familiarity and experience with Rest APIs
● Experience in building scalable services/systems,
● Experience in Code profiling, Performance Tuning
● Experience Managing Full Stack teams, with Reactjs for Front-end
● Eager to learn about new technologies and implement these ideas in a production environment.
● Business proficiency in spoken and written English
● Experience working with a global team and need to be accommodative of different time- zones as required.
● Experience working with, designing, and deploying production-grade Services, in Public Cloud like AWS/ Azure/ GCP and optimising the cost.
