We are seeking an experienced & entrepreneurial engineering manager to join the founding team to lead the development of our core suite of services and platform. You'll partner with our Director of Engineering and CTO, making key architectural and product decisions, and driving the technical vision and execution of your team.

About You:

• Emerging Leader: You have at least one year of experience managing a team, coaching them to achieve high performance, and navigating both successes and challenges.

• Technically Proficient: You have hands-on experience in developing APIs, agents and LLMs, data modeling, and scaling distributed systems, and can lead by example.

• Customer-Focused: You bring a customer-centric mindset, understanding that customer satisfaction is at the heart of building great products.

• Clear Communicator: You emphasize clear communication, documented planning, and regular, transparent feedback.

You Will:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing engineers.

• Architect and oversee the development of applications, APIs, and distributed systems.

• Own architectural decisions for the tech platform, advising on key product and infrastructure strategies.

• Be hands-on with the codebase 50-70% of the time, providing technical guidance and support.

• Develop and maintain analytics, monitoring, and logging infrastructure to improve user experience and system health.

• Collaborate across Product, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to deliver a top-notch service and product experience.

• Contribute in many other ways to our agile founding team, building the future of flexible light industrial staffing.

You Have:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience building scalable solutions, with 1+ years managing high-performing teams

• Experience working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment, with the ability to thrive amid ambiguity.

• Experience with agents, LLMs, distributed systems, API design, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, GCP, or equivalent technologies.

• Strong communication and analytical skills to drive impactful decisions.

• A passion for helping people find meaningful work that suits their needs.

The compensation range for this position is set between $190,000 and $250,000, reflecting our market analysis and other relevant considerations. However, exceptions may be made for candidates with qualifications that significantly differ from those outlined in the job description.
