As a hands-on Software Engineering Manager, you’ll not only guide your team but also deploy your technical expertise to help deliver products that transform how students and educators engage with higher education.

• Drive high-performance software delivery for a team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to define and execute the product roadmap.

• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

• Implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to maintain high standards of software quality.

• Engage in design reviews and code reviews to up-level the performance of your team.

• Set the standard for code quality by contributing to the codebase yourself (wherever feasible & necessary)

• Identify and address technical challenges, providing innovative solutions to complex problems.

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and AI to drive continuous improvement within the product and internal tooling

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer; ideally at different levels of scale

• 2+ years of experience managing software engineers

• Strong ownership mindset and the ability to autonomously lead the squad alongside product and design

• Deep curiosity, customer empathy, and commitment to engineering as a craft

• Ability to plan, estimate, and manage the technical aspects of project execution and delivery

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to mentor junior developers

• Impeccable communication skills for collaborating with product, design, and customer-facing teams
