We are hiring an Engineering Leader!

As an Engineering Leader at Breeze, you’ll play a critical role in supporting and scaling our engineering organization. You’ll manage a large team of engineers, with support from tech leads and an architect who will drive technical direction. Your focus will be on people management and project delivery—empowering engineers to do their best work, ensuring smooth coordination across pods, and building the systems that keep the team thriving. This role is ideal for someone who is a strong communicator, deeply empathetic to engineers, and experienced in running large-scale engineering teams.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage and support a large engineering team, ensuring they are motivated, engaged, and set up for success.
  • Partner with tech leads and architects who own technical direction, while you focus on people development, performance management, and delivery.
  • Coordinate project management across engineering pods, working with shared PM resources to ensure alignment and timely execution.
  • Foster a collaborative environment where engineers can do their best work, with trust, communication, and psychological safety at the core.
  • Guide career development, mentorship, and continuous learning opportunities for engineers.
  • Monitor workload balance, team health, and productivity to keep the organization running smoothly at scale.
  • Proactively remove blockers and drive operational excellence across teams.

  • Proven experience managing and scaling large engineering teams.
  • Strong technical foundation, with the ability to engage deeply with engineers and collaborate effectively with tech leads and architects.
  • Background in people management and project delivery — you enable, not dictate.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across pods and functions.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments; you create clarity and structure where it’s needed most.
  • Deep empathy for engineers and a passion for supporting their career growth.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering management, with a proven track record of leading and scaling high performing teams.
  • Strong technical background, ideally with prior hands-on engineering experience.
  • Experience managing performance, career development, and mentorship at scale.
  • Familiarity with project management in multi-pod or distributed engineering models.
  • Ability to balance business priorities with team health and long-term engineering growth.
