Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the successful delivery of the product roadmap in "How we service our merchant partners" problem space, meeting key OKRs and milestones.
- Own the technical vision and roadmap for delivering the Partner Portal, architecting a scalable and secure enterprise-grade system using Next.js and Nest.js.
- Design and develop a modular platform that enables internal teams to build and deploy partner-facing features independently and rapidly.
- Establish and enforce high standards for engineering and operational excellence, ensuring the platform meets high reliability targets.
- Lead a team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, high performance and continuous growth in line with Cover Genius values.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions that deliver exceptional partner experiences.
Skills & Experience: What you will bring:
- Bachelor/Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering with at least 5 years of software engineering experience and at least 2 years in leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
- Strong technical background in building and maintaining complex, scalable systems, hands-on experience with our stack Next.js, Nest.js, TypeScript, is a significant plus.
- Experience with modern software development practices including CI/CD pipelines, test automation, code quality tools.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), managing workloads in Kubernetes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of insurance technology (insurtech) or fintech domains is highly advantageous, particularly experience with platforms that enable embedded financial services or B2B integration solutions.
